Project 52: Service | Week 32It's another Friday and that means another professional pet photography Project 52 blog circle post. It's Week 32 and our theme is "service." At first, I couldn't figure out how to relate this topic to a photography challenge as our themes are supposed to challenge us creatively and help us grow as photographers. Yes, as pet photographers, we provide a service to our clients but I did n't necessarily see how to relate that to a photograph. On Tuesday, I photographed eight rescue kittens for Save Our Shelter Dogs Rescue, a small local rescue that I help out from time-to-time. That's when it hit me as to how I could relate the topic of "service" to a photo or, in this case, many photos. As a pet photographer, I like to give back by providing my services (there's that word) to area rescues by photographing pets in need of adoption. I provide the rescue with a service that might not be available to them, professional photography, and I provide a service to the rescue animals by helping them get seen to find a home. Generally, when I photograph rescue pets, I give a few digital images to the rescue so they can post them on their website, social media, and adoption sites. In this case, these kittens were so darn cute and I had such a fun time photographing I couldn't narrow down the number of images to just a few. However, for the purpose of this blog post, I've chosen a couple of my favorites of each kitten. So here are Gizmo, Finn, Otis, Nala, Theo, Milo, Nero, and Inky Rafiki:
Next up in the blog circle is Elaine Tweedy of I Got the Shot Photography, serving clients in Northeastern PA and surrounding areas after you visit her head around the rest of the blog circle until you end up back here. Don't forget there's still plenty of time to book one of our exciting Tails of Cincinnati sessions and see your pet's picture in a book while supporting area homeless pets, then visit our dedicated website tailsofcincinnati.com or give us a call at 513-288-1650.
