Project 52: Favorite Color | Week 15
It's Week 15 of professional pet photography Project 52 blog circle and our theme for the week is "favorite color." We've mostly been staying home or going to our nearby favorite local park, but it was a beautiful day on Wednesday (well, before the thunderstorm and tornado warnings later that night), so I loaded Lola up in the car and headed to Washington Park for our afternoon walk. It was over 80 degrees, so very warm for an early April afternoon, but it was nice to be out and in a setting with so many pretty flowers; there were tulips, pansies, hyacinths, and more.
Lola loves people, so trying to social distance with her is very difficult. Fortunately, the park wasn't overly populated and it was large enough to mostly keep our distance from others, much to Lola's chagrin. That didn't stop her from fixating on the people that were there (which is why she's not looking directly at me in any of her pictures.) The tulips in the park were so pretty and colorful and Lola looked perfect against them. Even better, they contained my favorite color which is what this week's theme is all about, after all. I also used a different lens for each of the following images. I used my Nikon 24-120mm f/4 lens for the first image. For this image, I used my Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. Have you guessed what my favorite color is yet?
Here's a hint, Lola is wearing my favorite color. For my final image, I used my manual focus 14mm lens (it's a cheap Rokinon). I didn't do too badly with the focus but it wasn't as sharp as it could have been. I just have such a hard time telling if anything is in focus when I'm using it. You can also see that it renders the colors much more brightly than the other lenses. Did you guess that my favorite color is pink?
Let's see some more color with Darlene Woodward with Pant the Town Photography serving MA and NH, and then head around the rest of the blog circle until you end up back here.

Wow! Those tulips are fantastic! I think my favorite image is the first one with the tulips in focus over Lola. Beautiful! I would put that one on a wall for sure, so it could remind me of Spring every day.
Gorgeous colors with all the tulips. Such a great sign of spring
Beautiful color!!! We have nothing of that yet and I'm anxious to see some leaves on the trees and tulips in the yard.
