Project 52: Blank Slate | Week 1

January 05, 2018  •  15 Comments

Welcome to the first professional pet photography blog circle Project 52 post for 2018. Our first theme for the year is "blank slate." Just like the year is a blank slate for us to write, so was our theme for this week. The idea of a tabula rasa or blank slate led me to using my favorite white background for my images, as to me it s the perfect clean slate on which to photograph.

Paco was nice enough to take a break from snuggling amongst the blankets on the sofa to pose for me (some beef jerky treats helped).

For more filling in the blanks, head over to Shelly Ellis Photography - Pet photography. Studio and on location, Orangevale, Granite Bay, Folsom and the greater Sacramento California area then head around the rest of the blog circle until you end up back here. Make sure you block out a good amount of time for all the blogs this week as we have a whopping 24 participants! Hopefully we will be able to keep the momentum up through the rest of this year.

If you would like to book a custom pet portrait session in your home or other favorite destination, use the hot pink "BOOK NOW" button to the right of this post (at the bottom of your screen on mobile), send us an email to suzi [at] petlovephotography.com, or give us a call at 513-288-1650 in the Greater Cincinnati area or at 650-382-3242 in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Nicely done! I feel like white backdrops would be challenging to work with. Your images look so clean and pristine.
