Project 52: Sun Flare | Week 45

November 10, 2017  •  3 Comments

It's Friday and that means we have another professional pet photography Project 52 blog circle post. Our theme this week was "sun flare." Sun flare is when you are shooting directly into the sun and the sun reflects directly through the lens. Normally, I would not shoot directly into the sun but try to find an area of open shade to place my subject so that I wouldn't get sun flare and, possibly, some unwanted artifacting in the image; however, since sun flare was our subject for the week, I did point my camera directly towards the sun. The fact that I even got sun this week was a miracle, because most of this past week has been rainy, dark, and gloomy.

Mr. Bojangles and I made a brief visit on our sunny day to Smale Park in Downtown Cincinnati in order to complete the assignment for the week.

For more images with flare, head over to see Rochelle with Dark Sapphire Pet Photography, Nelson, New Zealand, and then around the rest of the blog circle until you end up back here.

If you would like to book a custom pet portrait session in your home or other favorite destination, use the hot pink "BOOK NOW" button to the right of this post (at the bottom of your screen on mobile), send us an email to suzi [at] petlovephotography.com, or give us a call at 513-288-1650 in the Greater Cincinnati area or at 650-382-3242 in the San Francisco Bay Area. You had more sun in Cincinnati than we got in Columbus. Lucky ducks!

I've been in sunny and warm CA so seeing Mr Bojanlges is a coat is hard to imagine.
