Project 52: Juxtaposition | Week 41

October 14, 2016  •  4 Comments

We're at Week 41 of professional pet photography blog circle Project 52 and the topic of "juxtaposition."  As we've been doing all year, we're following lessons from "The Visual Toolbox: 60 Lessons for Stronger Photographers" by David DuChemin. Juxtaposition is putting two elements together that contrast conceptually to tell a story or even just hint at a story.

Mr. Bojangles and I headed to Downtown Cincinnati and the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood to complete this week's adventure. The BF joined us, as well, as taking pictures with a dog in the city is much easier if there is another handler. Even though it may look as if Mr. Bojangles is off his leash, it's the wonders of Photoshop as he was leashed and under the watchful eye of the BF at all times. For more juxtaposition, head over to see what Darlene with Pant the Town Pet Photography serving MA and NH has for us and then around the rest of the blog circle until you end up back here.

If you would like to book a custom pet portrait session in your home or other favorite location, use the hot pink "BOOK NOW" button to the right of this post (at the bottom or your screen on mobile), send us an email to suzi [at] petlovephotography.com, or give us a call at 513-288-1650 in the Greater Cincinnati area or at 650-382-3242 in the San Francisco Bay Area.
